Automated Anion Exchange Based Plasmid Maxiprep Platform

Biomiga has developed an automated, multifunctional,endofree plasmid maxi purification system. The system supports two purification modes. The ion exchange method and the magnetic beads method, which can be combined to obtain plasmids suitable for various downstream applications. It can process up to 12 samples per run within 2 hours using the ion exchange method or 1 hour with the magnetic bead method, accommodating culture volumes of up to 500 mL (8 g wet weight pellet).

The system comprises two devices: AP-6 and CB-12. AP-6 is designed for plasmid lysate preparation, while CB-12 further extracts plasmid DNA from the lysate. The reagent kit is suitable for extracting plasmids up to 25 kb in size. The purified plasmid is ready for a range of downstream applications, including cell transfection, mRNA transcription, viral packaging, gene cloning, sequencing, enzymatic digestion,  and library screening. Additionally, this platform can also be used of genomic DNA/RNA purification as well as protein purification.
